better marketer
5 minutes read

When I was little, I used to watch cartoons with my older brother. Since he was the one who always had the remote (older sibling rule), we always ended up watching superhero cartoons.

I used to be mesmerized about the fact that almost each superhero had a specific object that helped him in his missions. Like Captain America’s shield, Green Lantern’s power ring, Thor’s hammer or Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth.

When I became a marketer I had an epiphany. If you want to create successful campaigns and make your clients happy, you need to make good use of some tools. If used right, these items can become your own superhero items!

During the last 5 years, I’ve tested dozens of apps, platforms, widgets and so on and so forth, that were supposed to make my life easier. Some have failed me, and some have impressed me and made me wonder why didn’t I know about them sooner.

Hoping that you’ll have the same reaction as I did, I’m presenting you your soon-to-be superhero marketing tools!

#1. CrazyEgg

CrazyEgg is one of those tools that takes out the burden of trying to figure out what your user does on your platform. It allows you to track mouse movements, hovering & clicks and most important, it gives you the chance of knowing your users better. Once you make an account, you’ll be able to control and track anything you want (You’ll feel like a private investigator, or stalker) through their four tools: heat maps, scroll maps, overlay reports and confetti. Each of these show you different results based on your visitors’ activities.

#2. CoSchedule – Headline Analyzer

Finding an amazing title for blog posts, articles and whatnot can be difficult sometimes (I had trouble finding this one too). The first time I used this tool I felt like I was at a “Miss Headline Universe” competition. It gives you a full report on word balance, structure, grammar, readability, length or keywords and after trying it a few times I started writing better headlines. It doesn’t only criticize your headline, but also offers you ideas on how you can improve it for the better.

So, if you’re looking for a  tool that will rate the quality of your post title, this might be it.

Headline Analyzer

This platform is one of the most popular URL link shorteners on the web. It allows you to easily shorten, share, manage, analyze and track links. Personally, I’ve started using to see whether my friends actually clicked on the links I shared on Social-Media. (An influencer has to do what he has to do), but we’re using it constantly here at Creatopy to track the links of our blog posts. Also, you can customize the URL, so if you’re a detail obsessed person like I am, you’ll love this feature.

Bonus tip: If you add a “+” at the end of a link you can get the stats of it. Keeping an eye on your competition’s success was never easier.

#4. Hootsuite

Most probably you got here from a link you’ve seen on social media. Even more probably, that link was posted through Hootsuite. Ever since I’ve started using this platform, it became my best friend and I truly believe that Hootsuite is a marketers sidekick. Hootsuite is a  “Social Media Management System” that helps you manage and track your social media channels. You can view multiple streams of your networks in real time and answer in no time! What I believe is its biggest strength is its team management feature. Its easy UI was definitely made with collaboration in mind.

#5. Buzzsumo

Buzzsumo is our go-to platform when it comes to content research. What Buzzsumo does is providing you the most shared content on a specific topic you choose. What else you can do on it is competitive research, setting alerts, finding influencers and most important – running detailed analysis reports.

#6. Answerthepublic

THIS is one of the tools I was talking about when I said that some of them exceeded my expectations. You want to provide quality & useful content to your users? Say no more. Answerthepublic is the tool that gives you the answers you need when it comes to what people asked on the internet. (Confusing, right?) It’s a great tool if you want to know exactly what people want and expect from your product, so you can provide them the answer to all their questions. There really isn’t an easier way to give people what they want, than this one.

#7. Trello

My first board on trello was called  “Must watch movies”. Obviously, I wasn’t in the business yet, but it helped me organize something with my group of friends. Later on, I started using it for its actual purpose, and I can truly say it’s a treasure. Basically, Trello is a collaboration tool that keeps track of processes.  Get your team on board (wink)!

As they say, Moqups is “A streamlined and intuitive web app that helps you create wireframes, mockups, diagrams & prototypes for any type of project.” I personally find it extremely useful when it comes to showcasing to collaborators and clients. Even more, not having web development skills is no longer a problem since you can create a wireframe of whatever product you want in Moqups by using their nifty features. No longer bugging your designer friends!Moqups 1

So, which of these will you choose (or already did) to be your superpower tools? Let us know in the comments section below!
